Visa Requirements for Southern & East African Countries (Finnish Passport Holders) 

South Africa

  • No visa required for short stays (up to 90 days)

  • Visa-free

Botswana

  • No visa required for short stays (up to 90 days)

  • Visa-free

Namibia

  • Visa required

  • Visa on Arrival (also available as e-Visa)

  • Fee approx. USD 80–85 per traveller

Zimbabwe

  • Visa required

  • Visa on Arrival or e-Visa

  • Fee USD 30–50 (single entry)

Kenya

  • Visa required

  • eTA (Electronic Travel Authorization)

  • Fee USD 32.50 per traveller

Tanzania

  • Visa required

Zanzibar

  • In addition to the Tanzanian visa, mandatory local travel insurance is required

  • Passport must be valid for at least 6 months and onward/return ticket may be requested

ℹ️ Important Notes for Travellers

  • Zanzibar is part of Tanzania, but a separate compulsory Zanzibar travel insurance is required for all visitors.

  • It is strongly recommended to apply for e-Visa / eTA online well in advance. This is quicker and more convenient than applying on arrival, where queues can be long.
