My story
I'm Jannika, founder of Journeys & Beyond.
My connection with Africa began over 20 years ago when I first lived in South Africa. What started as curiosity slowly became a lifelong connection to the continent — its people, landscapes, wildlife, and the feeling of being there.
Over the years, I have travelled extensively across Southern and Eastern Africa, gathering experiences that continue to shape both my work and the way I see travel today.
What has stayed with me most
Some of my strongest memories from Africa are often the quietest ones — listening to the sound of Victoria Falls for the first time, watching elephants pass silently beside a safari vehicle, or waking up to an elephant feeding just outside a canvas tent.
But just as memorable are the people met along the way, the unexpected encounters, and the moments that could never have been planned.
These experiences are a big part of why Africa continues to inspire me year after year.
A personal way of working
For me, travel is never only about moving between places.
It is about atmosphere, rhythm, encounters, and creating space for experiences that stay with you long after returning home.
That is also how I approach the journeys I help create today.
Experience that matters
I know the destinations beyond the surface — how they work in reality, when to travel, and how to combine them in a way that flows naturally.
I work with trusted local partners and use my experience to create journeys that feel thoughtful and seamless from beginning to end.

Why I do this
This is more than a profession for me.
It is a lifestyle shaped by years of travel, unforgettable moments, and a genuine appreciation for the diversity and depth Africa offers.
What I offer
I create individually designed journeys across Southern and Eastern Africa for private travellers, small groups, and selected business travel.
Depending on your needs, I can help with full itinerary planning, consultation, travel advice, and guided journeys.

Let's connect
If you have a dream, an idea, or even just curiosity about Africa, I'd love to hear from you.
Together, we can begin shaping a journey that feels personal and inspiring.
